Call Recordings
When we record a phone call, we collect:
- a recording of the entire conversation
- your telephone number
When making a payment over the telephone, the call recording is paused whilst the card details are captured, therefore no payment information is recorded.
Call recordings will be used:
- to assist in quality monitoring and training of our staff
- to investigate and resolve any complaints
- for the detection, investigation and prevention of crime (including fraud).
If you would prefer for your call to not be recorded, you can request to our call handler that the call is not recorded. In this situation, the call handler will normalyl advise you to therefore contact us via eMail or in writing by post.
In exceptional circumstances, you may be transferred to a phone with the call recording then paused. This decision will be made by a member of the Senior Management Team. The Senior manager will, in these exceptional circumstances, ensure the caller’s call is then not recorded by pausing the recording.
Ways we collect
- Contact Forms and Cart/Checkout Emails – These use the customer’s email, to send all the required information to BlindsbyPost Team or to the Customer. That data is then used to provide Customer with the best shopping experience possible. If a user fills out any “Email” box on the website, it will create a record within the shop’s database. Depending on the box filled, that record will be marked with either “Accepts Marketing” or “Does not accept Marketing”.
- 2) All the information input during the checkout is used by the relevant payment provider (Stripe, Paypal, Klarna, Yorkshire Payments) to prevent scam and ensure the security of the transaction for both parties (BlindsbyPost and Customer).
- 3) If a user creates an Account on the website, they have a full view into all the data held in the database record, however you cannot remove most of it through the portal. To remove the full customer record, please contact BlindsbyPost in writing to [email protected] and we will remove within 5 working days.
